Dr. Frank Evers will be supported by Dr. John-Patrick Bischoff, and Kersten Wagner-Cardenal will be joined by Jan-Michael Dierkes; both associates previously worked with White & Case.

GÖRG’s new Hamburg office is located in the upper stories of Dammtorstraße 12 with a clear view of Hamburg’s State Opera House. Hamburg’s prominent Gänsemarkt is only a short walk away from the newly-developed Dammtorstraße.

Dr. Frank Evers, Kersten Wagner-Cardenal and Dr. Jan Peter Scharf will strengthen the GÖRG team composed of Dr. Thorsten Bieg, Dr. Wolfram Lohse, Hans-Jürgen Rieckhof, Marc Odebrecht and Dr. Gerrit Hölzle, as well as chartered accountants and tax advisers Hans-Jürgen Wilke and Peter Stoffersen. With these new additions, GÖRG’s Hamburg office will open with almost 30 professionals and will offer legal services extending beyond restructuring and insolvency administration, and especially including corporate/M&A and public and regulatory law. Dr. Frank Evers, Kersten Wagner-Cardenal and Dr. Jan Peter Scharf comment on their move as follows: “With its broad range of activity GÖRG offers an excellent platform for our future advisory practice. There are also many areas of work in common with the new Hamburg colleagues. It will be a wonderful challenge to establish a new powerhouse in the Hamburg legal market. We are very much looking forward to it.”

Kersten Wagner-Cardenal adds: “We are perfectly positioned with GÖRG and the focus on regulated industries, real estate and infrastructure projects. We look forward to collaborating with the well-known Frankfurt PPP team led by Dr. Lutz Horn and Dr. Kai Schneevogl.”

As a member of the firm’s management, Dr. Michael Dolfen commented on behalf of GÖRG on the expansion taking place in the office’s start-up phase: “GÖRG is not limited to restructuring and insolvency, even where these are naturally essential fields of our legal practice. With Dr. Frank Evers, Kersten Wagner-Cardenal and Dr. Jan Peter Scharf we were able to attract additional partners that are active in providing classic legal advisory services and who have proven expertise in the areas of corporate/M&A and in real estate law, as well as public and regulatory law, especially public privatisation and PPP projects, procurement law and environmental law. GÖRG’s Hamburg office is now positioned to provide a broad spectrum of legal advisory capabilities. The first steps have been taken: the next steps planned to broaden our depth, especially in GÖRG’s further core advisory areas, will follow.”
